Those Hungry Hippos

I used to love 'Hungry Hippos' when I was younger!  And it seems my girls do too...

When they opened this from my Me-Maw & Grandpa over the weekend...it was so sweet to see their eyes light up in excitement!  So, we played...and played...and played both versions many many times...

 

 

As a matter of fact...we've been on a game kick ever since.  The pre-schooler whooped me in 'Trouble,' Hungry Hippos,' and 'Go Fish' all just today.  

What is your or your children's favorite game?

I think I'm worn out...but I've got lots of Christmas gifts yet to make...so I'm off to do that.

Oh, and I made another 'Diaper Cake' over the weekend for my brother's wife's baby shower.  I'm going to try and put together a little tutorial for ya this week.  They are so fun and simple to make and always make a cute shower gift or center piece.

We have come to the end of our weekend trip of visiting family.  We had such a good time...I'm always sad for it to end.  We were all spoiled rotten with lots of gifts for Christmas (I'll be sharing the most popular this week ;-)

Today, is Ms. Vanessa's birthday and we're throwin down...

Happy Birthday Vanessa...I wish we could help you celebrate in person, I just know it'd be a bash!  You have been a true inspiration to us all and are one-of-a-kind :)

The Design Center

We spent a good amount of time at the 'Design Center' this morning.  We are considering having a house built since we haven't really found our 'dream home' yet. It was so overwhelming, there were so many choices and honestly...who knows how it's going to look when it all gets put together, aahhhhhh!

But, we are excited...the model we are looking at is gorgeous and would be perfect for our family.  So, even though the house is 6 months out (if we even go that route), I have been looking for some decorating inspiration.

We will have a huge loft that will either be my studio or a bedroom for our oldest.  And I love yellow walls!  So when I saw this yellow loft bedroom, I just had to share.  

Oh me, oh my...look at those built in book shelves (another love of mine).  This room is oh so adorable and would be perfect for her since she LOVES to read...

 

Again, with the yellow...loving it in the family room!  We've chosen really dark, wide-planked hard wood that would just look so smooth with this color.  That ceiling is so neat too, isn't it...

 

This is such a romantic bedroom with that big, gold mirror and chandelier.  I seriously doubt I'll be able to get away with this look in the master bedroom but It's inspiring anyway.  At least, the mister and I both love the bench at the bottom of the bed, tee hee...

That's right...my goal this year is to have everything done early, so I can enjoy Christmas eve with the fam, and sit and watch a Christmas movie, have hot cocoa, and cuddle up with the Mister and girlies on the couch.
